A long overdue post!
Hi folks, I am most active on Twitter these days so do follow me there for news, but thought I should do a blog post...to see if it still works!
We are living in very strange times with the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic, but in a sense I am quite lucky as my day to today life is pretty much the same. I work from home normally with my business The Holloway Shop and my garden life is running to schedule too, the beautiful spring weather has been right on cue, and is of much relief following the terrible flooding we had earlier on.
In the garden we are digging and weeding, planting and sowing. This weekend the patch at the far end of the garden was dug over to make room. The strawberry plants have been lifted and I am going to replant them in containers due to the slug issue we have here, hopefully suspended off the ground there will be more fruit for us!
Garlic plants are going in this afternoon, they have grown really strong in the greenhouse over winter and the French Lavender seedlings have gone in to hopefully form a little hedge. Room will be left for pumpkins later on as they need room to spread and swell all being well!
I have a bit of a rocket experiment going on too, a tray in the greenhouse and a tray on the kitchen windowsill, planted at the same time, I want to see if one turns out more peppery than the other with differing conditions...watch this space!
Check in again soon for the latest from us here at Herbie's Herbals, take care and stay safe everyone.
